What it costs
Hidden inside plasterboard €129. Painted conduit on any wall €39. Hidden inside brick or block: quoted from a photo (chasing and replastering).
- Brush plates behind the TV and by the socket
- Power, HDMI and aerial all run inside the wall
- A socket behind the TV by our partner electrician, if you want one
- Neat painted conduit if your wall is solid

Plasterboard walls are hollow. We cut a brush plate behind the TV and another near the socket, drop the cables down inside the wall, and you see nothing. That's €129 and it's included in The Royal Finish.
Brick and block walls are solid. Hiding cables means cutting a channel, running conduit in it and plastering over, then painting once it's dry. It's a bigger job, so we price it from a photo of the run rather than guessing.
Painted conduit is the honest middle: a slim trunking from the TV to the socket, painted your wall colour. It's €39, takes ten minutes, and on a block wall it's what most people choose.

Questions
Questions about hidden TV cables.
Is it safe to put the power cable inside the wall?
The TV's own lead goes through the wall via brush plates; that's fine. A new socket behind the TV is wiring work, which our partner registered electrician does, quoted separately.
How do I know if my wall is plasterboard?
Tap it. Hollow sound and a bit of give is plasterboard. Solid and silent is brick or block. Or send a photo, we can usually tell.
Can you hide the cables in a brick wall?
Yes, by chasing. We quote it from a photo. Painted conduit is the cheaper tidy option.
