What the houses are made of, and why it matters
North Dublin is a mix. The older semi-detached estates in Swords, Rush and Balbriggan mostly have brick or block internal walls, so cables usually go in painted conduit. The newer estates (Applewood, Holywell, Adamstown, Taylor Hill) are plasterboard on timber or metal studs, which is the easiest wall to hide cables in. Chimney breasts in the older houses are solid and take any bracket.

My Swords house has block walls. Can you still hide the cables?
Hiding cables inside a block wall means chasing and replastering, which we quote from a photo. Most people in the older estates go for painted conduit at €39, which looks tidy and takes ten minutes.
Can you do apartments in Adamstown?
Yes. Apartment walls are usually plasterboard or block; send a photo and we'll tell you which and price it. We take the packaging away so it never reaches the bin store.
